Two encore showings of "Belle Brezing & the Gilded Age of the Bluegrass" set for April 13, 2017, at the Kentucky Theatre
Due to popular demand, two additional movie theater showings of "Belle Brezing & the Gilded Age" are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. AND 7:30 p.m. April 13, 2017, at the Kentucky Theatre. The premiere of the production in Lexington and Frankfort each sold out earlier this year. This is the last chance to see the 60-minute documentary before it airs on KET-TV in May, in a slightly abbreviated form.
Tickets are $8 and may be purchased online now at www.kentuckytheatre.com and ARE NOW AVAILABLE DURING THE KENTUCKY THEATRE'S BOX OFFICE HOURS. Advance ticket purchase is recommended. Doors open for general admission seating 30 minutes before showtime. The Kentucky Theatre is located at 214 East Main Street, Lexington, KY. A portion of the proceeds benefits the Lexington History Museum, Inc.
Doug High is the documentary's executive producer and director, which is a High Impact Productions Film produced by Post Time Studios. Narrated by Elizabeth Shatner, the documentary provides reenactments from Brezing's life and features historians with expertise about Brezing and Lexington in her day. The reenactments were shot in regional historic locations, including Ashland, the Henry Clay Estate and the Kentucky Historical Society in Frankfort. Costumes were designed by Nelson Fields, asssociate producer and associate professor at the University of Kentucky. In addition to the Lexington History Museum, underwriters of the production are VisitLex, the Kentucky Historical Society and the Kentucky Employees Credit Union.
